Scorching Skies

Digital artwork inspired by NASA’s vintage travel exoplanet postcards.

Created in Adobe Photoshop

The project I created was inspired by NASA’s travel card posters, which showcase potentially habitable exoplanets. I designed a poster advertising Gliese 667-cc, an exoplanet located just 22 light-years away. Gliese 667-cc is believed to be habitable and rocky with mountains. Similar to NASA’s posters, I used warm and vibrant colors to add energy to the design. These colors help create a bright and vibrant atmosphere, full of possibilities, that evokes a sense of excitement and wonder about the potential for life beyond our planet. Through the use of warm tones, the poster conveys a sense of hope and optimism about exploring exoplanets, and it highlights the potential of discovering life beyond our planet.

By incorporating art and science, my project aims to inspire others to explore the world beyond our planet. Gliese 667-cc’s potential for supporting life makes it a fascinating subject for poster design, and the use of bright colors enhances the poster’s appeal. Through my travel postcard, I hope to encourage more people to learn about exoplanets and the importance of space exploration. This approach showcases how creativity can play a role in understanding the universe and the possibilities it holds.
