In “Crimson Guardian” I explored the idea of a mythical creature in a mythical land. I chose a red dragon as my central figure, representing strength and power. The dragon breathes fire, which symbolizes transformation and change.
To create this piece, I used paper cutouts and layered them to build textures, colors, and shapes. The paper cutouts allowed me to craft the dragon’s scales in vivid reds, oranges, and gold.
The forest surrounding the dragon serves as a mystical backdrop. It’s a place where reality and fantasy blend, hinting at the hidden wonders of nature. The forest is not just a setting; it’s a character in the story, adding depth to the narrative.
